Seatronics has strengthened our management team with the recent recruitment of two new technical positions in our UK and USA bases to further enhance expertise, service offering and support to clients.
Seatronics have appointed David Owen as the new position of Technical Manager ROV Products joining the company in January 2019 based in their Aberdeen office. Prior to joining Seatronics, Owen spent over 16 years working in the design and development of Observation-class electric ROVs. ROV control systems and task automation are Owen’s main areas of work as well as ROV components and electric ROV tooling. Owen will play a pivotal role in leading the development of Seatronics ROV technology and products, in particular, the newly launched VALOR ROV.
Seatronics has also introduced the new position of Head of ROV Sales with the appointment of Alasdair Murrie in the US region. Murrie has extensive expertise in business development for the subsea industry specifically in unmanned vehicle systems and subsea sensors & tooling. Prior to joining Seatronics in February 2019, Murrie was Global Product Director for both Sub-Atlantic and VP of Sales for SeaBotix ROV manufacturers. Murrie is responsible for growth and development of Seatronics ROV Sales across the USA region to secure and maintain new profitable business from both current and new clients.
