Oceaneering’s Flowline Plugs include a packer-type seal and carbon steel slips for mechanical holding. The Flowline Plug also incorporates a mechanical locking mechanism which consists of large Belleville springs and a threaded inner body to ensure mechanical force remains on the seal and slips after ROV hydraulics are removed.
This allows the plug to be left in the pipeline during other ROV operations.
